Your First visit to Your New Clinic: When you arrive at the clinic, the first thing you'll do is provide us with a short health history. This is important to ensure safe and efficient care. You can save twenty minutes by downloading these forms below and bringing them in with you for your initial appointment.
-All new patients are scanned with our MyoVision sEMG system on their first visit and then periodically at regular intervals to monitor spinal health changes as they improve. The surface electromyography will show the exact spinal levels of any nerve interference & the muscles of the back and areas of the body that are being affected by them.
-The doctor will also palpate your spine, which means he will use his fingers to feel along your back for any muscle spasm, swelling, misalignments, and loss of spinal motion. Spinal X-rays may be taken depending on your age, and situation. To avoid needless exposure only the most necessary x-rays will be taken. X-rays are a common part of the examination process when looking for vertebral subluxations. X-rays give us important information including the position of the spinal bones, the quality of the spine and safety of adjusting each region. X-rays also tell us the relative length of time subluxations may have been involved in your spine. Commonly, most patients receive spinal x-rays at the beginning of care. With this important information we can make more accurate diagnoses & a better determination of the type of adjustments your spine needs as well as the frequency of your care. Your x-rays will be explained to you and covered in detail with you (and your spouse), typically on your next visit.
-All new patients get to to attend our "Doctor's Report" or Patient Orientation during which you will get a much clearer understanding of what chiropractic can do for you and your family. The discussion will include such topics as how to attain spinal correction, and how your spine relates to your specific problem and your overall health. It is wise for new patients to bring any family or friends that might benefit from gaining more knowledge about health and healing.
